Tower workstation for business

This Dell OptiPlex 7010 desktop arrives in a tower chassis with Windows 11 Pro installed. An 18-core Intel Core i9-14900KS processor runs at 2.4 GHz base and up to 6.2 GHz turbo. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz and a 4 TB NVMe SSD provide capacity for demanding workloads. A DVD±RW drive and wired keyboard and mouse are included.

Suited for single-threaded workloads

The 24-thread CPU and fast NVMe storage suit professionals who need quick application response and large local datasets. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits this system to display output and light visual tasks; buyers who need 3D rendering, GPU compute or multiple high-refresh monitors should look elsewhere. The 180 W power supply also restricts the addition of high-power expansion cards.

4 TB NVMe storage capacity

A single 4 TB NVMe solid-state drive holds the operating system, applications and project files in one volume. This capacity removes the need for secondary drives in many workflows, while the NVMe interface keeps boot and load times short. Users planning extensive media libraries or local virtual-machine clusters should verify that 4 TB meets their long-term growth.

Questions about this item

Will the 180W power supply sustain the i9-14900KS at its 6.2GHz turbo across all 24 cores for long renders?

The 180W unit is sized for the factory configuration; sustained all-core turbo on a 24-core i9-14900KS will likely hit the power limit first, causing the CPU to throttle below 6.2GHz during extended heavy loads.

How loud does the tower get and what temperatures should I expect when the 180W supply and i9-14900KS run flat-out all day?

Under continuous load the single 180W PSU and integrated cooling will push fan speeds up; expect noticeable airflow noise and internal temperatures climbing into the high-70s °C as the chassis exhausts the 24-core CPU's heat.

The spec says monitor not included — do I need to supply my own DisplayPort or HDMI cable as well?

Yes, the system ships with HDMI and DisplayPort outputs but no video cable; you must provide a compatible cable for the monitor you connect.
