Dell 725-BBDM replacement lamp module

The Dell 725-BBDM is a 260W UHP replacement lamp module supplied as a fully assembled bulb and housing. It is designed for owners of compatible Dell projectors who need a ready-to-install light source rated for 3000 hours of operation. The unit ships new and meets ISO 9001 manufacturing standards.

Check projector model and lamp hours before ordering

Verify that your Dell projector lists the 725-BBDM as the correct replacement part number. Confirm the existing lamp has reached or is approaching its rated 3000-hour life so the swap restores full brightness. Ensure the projector is powered off and cooled down before beginning the installation.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The lamp draws 260W during operation and generates heat consistent with a UHP light source of this wattage. The projector’s internal cooling system manages airflow and fan speed to maintain safe temperatures. Acoustic output will match the projector’s standard running profile with an original lamp installed.

Questions about this item

Does the Dell 725-BBDM 260W lamp arrive as a complete module or do I need to buy a separate housing?

The Dell 725-BBDM ships as a fully assembled module with the Philips UHP 260W bulb already seated in its housing, so no extra parts are required for installation.

How do I choose between the three OEM versions and the compatible version of the 725-BBDM?

The three OEM versions use bulbs from Philips, Osram, Ushio or Matsushita — one matches the original projector supplier, one is the Dell-branded unit, and the third is an alternate OEM source — while the compatible version is built with genuine OEM parts by a leading third-party maker.

What does the 3,000-hour rating mean for daily use of this 260W lamp?

At typical brightness the 3,000-hour rating equals roughly 2.5 years of viewing if the projector runs three hours every day.
