Dell 8X Slimline SATA DVD±RW Drive

This Dell 757Rh drive is a slimline internal optical writer with a SATA interface. It reads and writes DVD and CD media at up to 8X speed. The unit is designed for OptiPlex small-form-factor systems that require a half-height 5.25 inch bay. It arrives new and ready for installation.

Replaces failed or missing slimline optical drives

The drive restores disc-burning and reading capability on compatible OptiPlex chassis where the original writer has failed or was not fitted. It is not suitable for standard-height desktop bays, slot-loading mechanisms or systems that lack a SATA data and power connection. Buyers needing Blu-ray playback or USB external operation should look elsewhere.
