A 12 V, 120 mm by 38 mm replacement fan for the PowerEdge 1600SC server power supply
This 12 V cooling fan is built to fit the Dell PowerEdge 1600SC server power supply. It serves administrators who need a direct replacement to keep their existing chassis running without modification. The unit matches the original form factor for a straightforward swap. Buyers who need a different voltage or mounting pattern should look elsewhere.
The fan uses a 120 mm by 38 mm frame and runs on 12 V power. In normal use it moves air through the power supply to stabilise internal temperatures. Acoustic output and power draw remain consistent with the original specification. The component weighs 5.1 units as supplied.

Remove the power supply from the 1600SC chassis, unplug the old fan connector, unscrew the four mounting corners, fit the new 120mm x 38mm unit, then reconnect the 12V plug before refitting the supply; the step often missed is re-seating the connector fully so the tachometer signal reaches the system board.
Expect to clean dust from the blades and heatsink fins every 6–12 months using compressed air; if bearing noise appears or speed drops below the rated 12V level, replace the entire 8X765 fan assembly as bearings are not serviceable.
