This 11.42 V 74.9 Wh lithium-ion pack is built for MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina models A1502 from Late 2013, Mid 2014 and Early 2015. It replaces Apple part numbers A1493 and A1582 and fits system identifiers MacBookPro11,1, MacBookPro11,2 and MacBookPro12,1. The six-cell design uses Grade A cells and ships new from the manufacturer.

Upgrade from a depleted or swollen original pack

When the factory battery no longer holds a useful charge or shows physical swelling, this unit restores full runtime without logic-board changes. The jump is worth it if the laptop otherwise meets your performance needs and the chassis is intact. It is not for machines outside the listed model years or for users who require a higher-capacity design than the original 74.9 Wh specification.

Limited to 13-inch Retina models

The battery connects only to the proprietary connector used on A1502 chassis from 2013 to 2015. It will not fit 15-inch Retina models, non-Retina 13-inch units, or any MacBook Air. Installers must verify the exact model identifier before purchase because the connector and screw locations differ across generations.
