Alienware Aurora ACT1250 desktop

The Alienware Aurora ACT1250 is a new gaming desktop built around a 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor and a dedicated GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 64GB DDR5 RAM and a 4TB SSD running Windows 11 Home. This system targets enthusiasts who want high frame rates at high resolutions without building a custom rig.

Sustained load behaviour

A 1000W platinum-rated power supply feeds the CPU and GPU, supporting the processor's 5.3GHz max boost clock during extended sessions. The chassis measures 18.05" x 7.75" x 16.46" and weighs approximately 33.9 lbs, providing internal airflow for the factory-installed cooling solution. Connectivity includes Killer E3100G 2.5G Ethernet and Wi-Fi7 for stable network throughput.

Deciding specification

The GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7 memory determines whether this desktop matches a buyer's performance target for 4K gaming or GPU-accelerated creative work. Buyers who need more video memory for large texture pools or multi-monitor compute workloads should look elsewhere. The 4TB SSD offers substantial space, yet users planning extensive game libraries may require secondary storage.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 1000W Platinum PSU and RTX 5080 run during all-day gaming?

The 1000W Platinum-rated power supply delivers efficient power to the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 and 20-core Ultra 7 265F, keeping heat and noise controlled inside the 18.05 x 7.75 x 16.46-inch chassis.

Which display cable and monitor port do I need to use the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7?

Connect your monitor to the RTX 5080 via HDMI or DisplayPort cable; the card drives the display directly, so no motherboard video port is used.

Will my older USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse work with the front and rear ports?

Yes, the system includes two USB 2.0 ports alongside five USB-A 3.2, one USB4 Type-C and two USB-C 3.2 ports, so legacy peripherals plug in without adapters.
