Questions about this item

Will my older USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A peripherals work with the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on this Alienware m15 R4?

Yes, both USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are backward compatible with older USB devices, so your existing peripherals will connect and function normally.

How can I verify the RTX 3080 laptop GPU is active after I set up the system?

Open Device Manager in Windows 10 Home and confirm NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 appears under Display adapters, then run the NVIDIA control panel to see the driver version and GPU temperature.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 3 cable for the Thunderbolt 3 port, or must I buy one separately?

The laptop ships with the 240 W power adapter and documentation; a Thunderbolt 3 cable is not included and must be purchased separately if you plan to use that port.
