Alienware m16 R2 gaming laptop

The Alienware m16 R2 is a 16.0 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and includes a per-key RGB keyboard, webcam and a 90 WHr battery. The chassis measures 14.33 IN by 9.81 IN by 0.93 IN and weighs 5.75lb.

240Hz WQXGA display

The 16.0 inch panel delivers a 2560x1600 resolution at a 240 Hz refresh rate in a 16:10 aspect ratio. This high refresh rate is the specification that determines whether the laptop matches competitive gaming or fast content workflows. The non-touch screen uses WQXGA resolution for sharp detail in motion.

Thermals and power in normal use

A 240W power supply feeds the system while the 6-cell 90 WHr battery handles mobile operation. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H reaches a 4.8 GHz turbo frequency across 16 cores and 22 threads under load. Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1 and an SD reader provide connectivity without external docks.

Questions about this item

What does the 240 Hz refresh rate mean for gameplay on this 16.0" panel?

The 240 Hz panel redraws the image 240 times per second, so fast motion stays sharp and input lag stays low in competitive titles.

How does the Thunderbolt 4 port limit external GPU or dock bandwidth?

Thunderbolt 4 caps at 40 Gbps, so an external GPU or high-speed dock shares that ceiling with any daisy-chained devices.

What are the exact chassis dimensions for a backpack or sleeve?

The laptop measures 14.33 in wide, 9.81 in deep and 0.93 in thick, weighing 5.75 lb.
