Alienware X17 R1 for competitive gaming

The Alienware X17 R1 pairs an Intel Core i7-11800H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU and a 360 Hz Full HD panel. Eight cores reach 4.6 GHz turbo frequency while 32 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD support fast load times. Windows 11 Home is preinstalled on this 17.3 inch white chassis.

Integrated webcam and 802.11ac wireless

An integrated webcam handles video calls without extra hardware. The 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity provide cable-free networking and peripheral support out of the box. No separate camera or network adapter purchase is required for typical streaming or remote-work setups.

Verify 256 GB capacity meets your library

The 256 GB solid-state drive may fill quickly with modern game installations and media files. Buyers who need more storage should plan for external drives or internal expansion if the chassis allows. The non-touch 1920 x 1080 display is fixed at 360 Hz, so confirm this refresh rate suits your preferred titles.

Questions about this item

Can the 256GB SSD be swapped for a larger drive later?

The 256GB SSD is the only internal storage fitted; a larger drive can be installed if the chassis provides an accessible M.2 slot.

Which component hits its thermal ceiling first during long gaming sessions?

The Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 share a vapour-chamber cooler; sustained loads push both toward their 4.6GHz turbo and 8GB GDDR6X limits, so either can throttle first depending on the title.

How loud do the fans get when the laptop runs flat-out all day?

Dual high-speed fans spin up to move heat from the 8-core CPU and RTX 3080; expect a noticeable but not extreme airflow noise at full load.
