Dell N3000 2-Port 10GbE Uplink Module

This hot-swappable module adds two 10GbE BASE-T ports to compatible Dell N3000 series switches. It is built for network administrators who need to expand uplink capacity without powering down the chassis. The CK9KC part number identifies the exact unit for inventory tracking and firmware alignment.

Network teams upgrading Dell N3000 switches

The module suits teams running Dell N3000 series hardware that require additional 10GbE copper uplinks for server or storage links. It is not for operators of other switch families, environments needing fibre SFP+ uplinks, or builds requiring more than two extra ports per slot.

Two 10GbE BASE-T ports in a hot-swappable form

The decisive specification is the pair of 10GbE BASE-T interfaces delivered in a single hot-swappable module. Confirm the switch model matches the Dell N3000 series CAT-12243 compatibility list before ordering.

Questions about this item

How is the CK9KC uplink module installed in a Dell N3000 series switch?

Slide the module into an empty uplink bay until the latch clicks; the hot-swappable design means the switch stays powered on during installation.

What maintenance or replacement will the CK9KC module need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; replace the module only if a port fails or a firmware update cannot resolve a link error.

What throughput limit appears first when both 10GbE BASE-T ports run at full load?

Each port is capped at 10 Gb/s, so sustained traffic above that rate on either port will hit the port-speed ceiling first.
