Purpose-built portable workstation

The Dell DC15255 is a 15.6 inch full HD touchscreen laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVME solid-state drive. It runs Windows 11 Home and includes a 720p webcam, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI output, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB Type-C 3.2 port and an SD card reader. The integrated AMD Radeon graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 display at 60 Hz.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with the manufacturer box opened by technicians who installed the advertised memory and storage upgrades before testing and inspection. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and configured, so the laptop is ready to use after the initial out-of-box setup. Buyers who want more storage than 256 GB or who need a discrete graphics processor should consider a different configuration.

Practical limits of the platform

The 256 GB NVME drive and 16 GB of DDR4 memory can be expanded up to the platform maximum of 64 GB, but the integrated Radeon graphics share system memory and are not suited for heavy 3D workloads. The 45 W power supply and three-cell battery constrain sustained high-performance operation, and the 60 Hz panel limits motion clarity for fast-paced content.
