Dell 15 D15260 overview

The Dell 15 D15260 is a 15.6 inch laptop running Windows 11 Pro with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U 12-core processor. It comes with 16GB of DDR5 memory at 4800 speed and a 1TB SSD. Integrated Intel Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display.

Who this suits and who it does not

This configuration suits buyers who want a new 15.6 inch clamshell with a 12-core Ultra 7 processor, 16GB DDR5 and a 1TB drive for everyday productivity. It is not for buyers who need a discrete GPU, a touchscreen, an SD card reader, a fingerprint reader or more than 16GB of memory.

The specification that decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 16GB DDR5 4800 memory, which is soldered and cannot be upgraded later. If your workload requires more memory now or in the future, this laptop will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1 TB SSD and what step is often missed?

The 1 TB SSD is factory-installed; if adding a second drive, secure it with the screw and enable it in BIOS so Windows recognises the new volume.

What maintenance will the 16 GB DDR5 4800 memory need later?

The 16 GB DDR5 4800 memory is soldered and not user-replaceable; keep vents clear and update firmware to maintain stability.

What limit appears first on the Intel Core Ultra 7 255U during sustained loads?

The 15.6 inch chassis and integrated Intel Graphics share thermal headroom, so skin-temperature limits throttle the 5.2 GHz boost before power limits are reached.
