Dell DZ65200500 100W USB-C Car Charger
This Dell DZ65200500 adapter delivers up to 100W of power through a USB-C connector for charging compatible laptops and mobile devices from a vehicle’s 12V or 24V socket. It supports Dell Latitude, Precision and XPS models as well as MacBook Pro, HP Spectre, Lenovo ThinkPad and other USB-C Power Delivery devices. The unit includes short-circuit protection and a fixed cable design for direct connection.
USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 limits and vehicle input
The charger accepts a DC input range of 9V to 32V with a nominal 12V to 24V supply and draws up to 12A from the cigarette-lighter socket. Output profiles include 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 19V/5A and 20V/5A, covering 30W to 100W steps. An additional USB-A port supplies 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A for 18W maximum. Devices that require more than 100W or a different voltage profile will not charge at full speed.
Fixed cable installation and common fit issues
The adapter plugs straight into the vehicle’s 12V or 24V outlet with no extra wiring or mounting required. The integrated USB-C cable cannot be replaced or lengthened, so socket placement and cable reach determine usability. Some recessed or angled sockets may prevent a secure connection, and vehicles with switched outlets will cut power when the ignition is off. Buyers needing a detachable cable or a longer reach should consider a different form factor.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 100 W or 18 W port for my laptop?
Use the USB-C port that delivers up to 100 W for laptops; the 18 W port is intended for phones or smaller devices.
Will the 100 W rating actually charge my Dell XPS 15 at full speed?
The charger outputs 20 V at 5 A, matching the 100 W USB PD 3.0 profile that many XPS 15 models accept for maximum charging rate.
Does the cigarette-lighter input limit the power I can draw?
The unit accepts 12–24 V DC up to 12 A from the vehicle socket, which supplies enough current for the full 100 W output.
