Purpose-built desktop

The Dell EBT2250 Tower Plus is a new desktop computer built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor with 24 cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 5.6 GHz. It includes 32 GB of DDR5 memory at 5600 MHz and a 512 GB NVMe solid-state drive. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro, a wired keyboard and a wired mouse. It targets everyday use, education and business environments.

The tower chassis measures 14.68 inches high, 6.81 inches wide and 16.80 inches deep with a weight of 19.00 lb. Front airflow passes through three USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 port, a headset jack and an SD card slot. Rear connectivity adds four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1 ports, three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, one HDMI 2.1a output, gigabit Ethernet, two stereo audio jacks and an S/PDIF optical port. Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 and Bluetooth are integrated.

Deciding specification

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card provides 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory for hardware-accelerated workloads. Buyers who need more than 512 GB of internal storage or a second discrete graphics card should look elsewhere. The 24-core processor with Intel AI Boost NPU and Microsoft AI Copilot support handles AI-enhanced productivity tasks.

Questions about this item

How do I install an additional NVMe SSD in the EBT2250, and which step do people skip?

Open the chassis, locate the free M.2 slot on the motherboard, insert the drive at the correct angle, then secure it with the retention screw; the step most often skipped is fastening that screw, leaving the drive unsecured.

What maintenance or replacement will the EBT2250 need after a few years of daily use?

The CMOS battery on the motherboard will eventually lose charge and should be replaced to keep BIOS settings and the system clock accurate.

Which limit appears first when the RTX 4060 8GB runs sustained heavy workloads in this tower?

The 8GB GDDR6 frame buffer fills before the GPU compute units saturate, so texture-heavy loads hit VRAM capacity first.
