Core Ultra 9 285 Tower Desktop

The Dell ECT1250 is a new tower desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor with 24 cores and a 36MB L3 cache. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the system includes a wired keyboard and mouse.

RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6 Graphics

An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 6GB of GDDR6 memory drives the visual output through DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and DVI ports. The card handles mainstream creative workloads and modern titles at 1080p with ease. Demanding 4K gaming or heavy compute tasks will exceed the available video memory and shader throughput.

Upgrade Path from Integrated Graphics

This system replaces desktops that rely on processor graphics, adding a discrete GPU with dedicated memory for smoother playback and faster encoding. The jump is worth it when daily work involves video editing, 3D viewport navigation or gaming that integrated graphics cannot sustain. Buyers who need more video memory or higher ray-tracing performance should look beyond the RTX 3050 tier.

Questions about this item

Will my existing DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 monitor cable work with the ECT1250 rear outputs?

The rear panel provides one DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1 port, so any cable built to those standards will connect directly.

How can I confirm the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 is running with its 24 cores and 5.60 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or run a hardware utility; it will show 24 logical processors and report the current clock speed up to 5.60 GHz under load.

Which keyboard and mouse models ship with the ECT1250, and do I need to buy a monitor separately?

A Dell KB216 wired keyboard and MS116 wired mouse are included; the specifications list the monitor as not included, so you must provide your own display.
