Genuine Dell DC Power Jack Cable PRV65

This genuine Dell OEM replacement part restores the DC power input connection on G Series G5 SE 5505 laptops. It matches the original PRV65 specification and includes the cable assembly shown in the product images. The component is supplied new and ready for installation.

Limits of the barrel-type DC input

The jack accepts only the proprietary barrel connector used by compatible Dell power adapters. It cannot be used with USB-C Power Delivery or any other charging standard. Buyers needing a USB-C charging port or a higher-wattage connector than the original design allows will find this part unsuitable.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the PRV65 cable or the alternate Selek G3 MLK 80W part for my G5 SE 5505?

Both part numbers refer to the same genuine Dell DC-in jack cable for the G5 SE 5505; PRV65 is the primary Dell part number while Selek G3 MLK 80W is an alternate reference, so either will fit.

What does the 80W figure on the alternate part number mean for daily charging?

The 80W rating on the Selek G3 MLK label indicates the maximum power the jack can pass to the G5 SE 5505, so your existing Dell charger up to that wattage will work normally through this replacement cable.
