Dell G15 5520 gaming laptop

The Dell G15 5520 is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores and a 4.7 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD for fast storage. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 6GB GDDR6 provides dedicated graphics performance. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed.

Target users and limits

This laptop suits buyers who need a portable machine for modern gaming at 1080p resolution with high refresh rates. The 120Hz display and strong multi-core CPU also help content creators working with video or 3D tasks. Users who require a touchscreen, an SD card reader, or a fingerprint reader should look elsewhere. Buyers needing more than 1TB of internal storage or a higher resolution panel will not find those features here.

15.6 inch 120Hz FHD display

The 15.6 inch screen delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 120Hz with 250 nits brightness and an anti-glare WVA panel. This specification determines whether the visual experience matches your gaming or creative workflow needs. The narrow border design maximises the viewing area within the chassis dimensions.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the 15.6 inch FHD 120Hz display and 64GB DDR5 or must I buy them separately?

The 15.6 inch FHD 120Hz display and 64GB DDR5 are built into the laptop; the box contains the laptop, power adapter and documentation so nothing extra is needed for those components.

Should I choose the 64GB DDR5 1TB PCIe SSD configuration or a smaller capacity for the i7-12700H and RTX 3060?

The 64GB DDR5 and 1TB PCIe SSD are the only memory and storage specification listed for this model; no alternative capacities are offered in the supplied data.

What does the 4.7 GHz turbo frequency mean once the i7-12700H is inside the G15 5520 chassis?

The 14-core i7-12700H can reach 4.7 GHz on its performance cores when thermal headroom allows, giving short bursts of maximum single-thread speed for gaming and heavy workloads.
