15.6-inch FHD gaming laptop with 12-core i5

The Dell G15 5520 is a 2022 gaming laptop built around a 12-core Intel Core i5-12500H processor that reaches 4.5 GHz turbo frequency. It pairs 16 GB of memory with a 1 TB SSD and a dedicated GeForce RTX 3050 GPU with 4 GB GDDR6 memory. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed on the 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Suits 1080p gaming and everyday multitasking

This configuration suits buyers who want a portable 15.6-inch machine for 1080p gaming and general productivity with a 12-core CPU and dedicated RTX graphics. It is not for users who need a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel, or more than 16 GB of memory for heavy content-creation workloads.

Dedicated RTX 3050 with 4 GB GDDR6

The single specification that decides fit is the dedicated GeForce RTX 3050 laptop GPU equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory, which separates this model from integrated-graphics alternatives and determines whether the graphics performance meets the buyer's target applications.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-core i5-12500H and RTX 3050 handle my older USB-A peripherals and external monitor?

The laptop includes USB-A ports and an HDMI output, so existing keyboards, mice and external displays connect directly without adapters.

How can I confirm the 165 Hz panel and RTX 3050 are active after setup?

Open the display settings to verify 1920 x 1080 at 165 Hz, then check Device Manager or Alienware Command Center to see the GeForce RTX 3050 listed as the active GPU.

What ships in the box and what must I buy separately for storage expansion?

The box contains the laptop, power adapter and documentation; an additional M.2 SSD for the spare slot is not included.
