Dell G4X7T 65W Slim Adapter

This Dell G4X7T is a 65-watt AC power adapter built for compatible Dell laptops. It accepts 100-240 volts AC at 1.7 amps and 50 or 60 hertz, then delivers 19.5 volts at 3.34 amps through a 7.4-millimetre barrel tip. The slim profile makes it easy to carry as a spare or replacement unit.

Suitable users and limits

It suits owners of Dell notebooks that specify a 65-watt adapter with a 7.4-millimetre connector and 19.5-volt output. Buyers whose devices require a higher wattage rating, a different barrel diameter, or another output voltage should look at another part.

Deciding specification

The single detail that confirms fit is the 7.4-millimetre barrel tip combined with 19.5 volts and 65 watts; if your laptop lists those exact values this adapter will match.

Questions about this item

Will the 7.4 mm barrel tip fit the charging port on my older Dell laptop that uses a 19.5 V supply?

Yes, the adapter uses a 7.4 mm barrel tip and delivers 19.5 V at 3.34 A, matching Dell models that require that connector size and voltage.

How can I confirm the 65 W slim adapter is delivering the correct 19.5 V output after I plug it in?

The laptop should show a charging indicator and the battery level will rise; a USB-C PD tester or multimeter on the barrel tip can verify 19.5 V and up to 3.34 A under load.

Does the box include a mains lead for UK sockets or only the adapter brick with its 7.4 mm tip?

The package contains the 65 W slim adapter brick with the fixed 7.4 mm barrel tip; a separate IEC C5 / C7 mains cable for your region is not included and must be purchased separately.
