Replacement Battery for Dell Latitude and Precision

The Dell GJKNX is a new lithium-ion battery rated at 7.6 V and 68 Wh, built with four cells to replace the original pack in supported Latitude and Precision laptops. It delivers up to 500 recharge cycles and ships with a screwdriver and crowbar so the swap can be done without extra tools.

Compatibility scope and limits

This pack fits Dell Precision 15 3520 and 3530 models plus a wide range of Latitude 14- and 15-inch systems including the 5280, 5288, 5480, 5488, 5490, 5491, 5495, 5580 and 5590 families. It does not fit Latitude 5580 units that use a 2.5 inch storage drive; those machines require a different battery.

Capacity and runtime expectations

At 68 Wh the battery provides a full day of typical office work on a healthy system, while heavier loads such as sustained video playback or development compiles will drain it sooner. The 500-cycle rating means capacity will gradually decline after roughly one to two years of daily charging.
