Questions about this item

When will the internal fan or capacitors in this Gvy79 unit need replacement?

Dell does not publish a service interval for the fan or capacitors; the unit is rated for continuous 265 W operation in OptiPlex 390, 790 and 990 mini-tower chassis.

What limit appears first when this 265 W supply runs at full load for long periods?

The 265 W output ceiling is the first hard limit; sustained loads above that will trigger over-current protection and shut the unit down.
