Questions about this item

How do I install the DELL H875EF-00 into a Precision T5500, and which step is commonly missed?

Slide the unit into the chassis until it locks, then attach the Dell wiring harness R166H (sold separately) to the motherboard and drives; the harness is not included and is often forgotten.

What maintenance or replacement will this 875W PSU need over time?

The internal cooling fan is the only moving part; expect to clean dust from the intake grille periodically and replace the fan if bearing noise develops after extended use.

What limit appears first when this supply runs at full load continuously?

Thermal protection will trigger before the 875W output can be sustained indefinitely; ensure the workstation’s front intake fans are unobstructed to delay throttling.
