Integrated SAS controller card for PowerEdge R410 and M600 servers
This Dell PERC 6/iR integrated SAS controller card is designed for PowerEdge R410 and M600 servers. It provides internal SAS connectivity for storage arrays in compatible Dell systems. The card installs directly into the dedicated motherboard slot. It is a new component for server maintenance or storage expansion.
This part restores RAID capability when the original integrated controller has failed. It upgrades a base configuration that lacked the SAS controller from the factory. The jump is worth it when the server requires hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 support for internal drives. It is not for systems needing external SAS ports or newer PERC generations.

The card is an integrated SAS controller designed for the PowerEdge R410 and M600 servers, so it installs in the dedicated internal RAID slot on those system boards.
After seating the card in the internal RAID slot, you must connect the SAS data cables to the controller and the backplane before closing the chassis.
