Dual-Band WiFi 7 Router

The ASUS RT-BE58U is a dual-band WiFi 7 router that delivers combined wireless speeds up to 3600 Mbps, with 2.4 GHz reaching 688 Mbps and 5 GHz reaching 2882 Mbps. It uses 4096-QAM to increase transmission rates by 1.2 times and supports Multi-Link Operation for simultaneous band connections. A 2.0 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM handles traffic for homes and small offices needing modern wireless performance.

Thermals Noise Power

The router operates from an external 12 V, 2 A power adapter accepting 100-240 V AC input at 50-60 Hz. Four external antennas provide signal coverage without internal moving parts, resulting in silent operation. The compact 238 x 193 x 59 mm chassis dissipates heat passively during continuous use. AiMesh extendable support allows adding compatible nodes to expand coverage without increasing the power draw of the main unit.

Bundled Accessories Software

The package includes an RJ-45 cable, power adapter and quick start guide for immediate setup. AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro provides commercial-grade network security with one-tap scanning and safe browsing features. Smart Home Master creates up to three separate SSIDs for IoT devices, VPN connections and parental controls. VPN client and server support covers WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec, PPTP and L2TP protocols for secure remote access.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 2.5G WAN port for my internet connection?

Connect the ISP cable to the single 2.5G WAN port, then use the web UI to select your connection type — PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP, Automatic IP or Static IP — and enable AI WAN detection so the router identifies the link automatically.

What components may need replacement after extended use?

The external antennas are detachable and can be swapped if damaged; the 12 V / 2 A power adapter is the only other field-replaceable part listed in the package contents.

At what throughput does the 1 GB RAM become the limiting factor?

The 2.0 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM handle the rated 3600 Mbps aggregate wireless throughput; sustained wired traffic beyond the 2.5G WAN and four 1G LAN ports will saturate the interfaces before memory becomes a bottleneck.
