Dell Inspiron 15.6 FHD Touch Laptop

The Dell Inspiron i3520-5244BLK-PUS is a 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop built around an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The Full HD IPS panel supports touch input for direct interaction with apps and documents.

Upgrade path from older DDR3 systems

Moving from a DDR3 platform to this DDR4 configuration reduces memory voltage by 40 percent and raises bandwidth by 50 percent. The jump is worth it when you need smoother multitasking across many browser tabs and office applications without stutter. Buyers who want more storage than the 1TB drive or discrete graphics for heavy rendering should look elsewhere.

Fits a mobile workstation setup

The integrated Intel UHD graphics handle video playback and professional productivity tasks without a separate GPU. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth provide standard wireless connectivity for peripherals and networks. The 3-cell lithium-ion battery powers the chassis for untethered use. No optical drive is included, freeing internal space for the M.2 SSD.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6 inch touchscreen lid need any specific clearance when open?

The 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen opens on standard laptop hinges; allow enough desk depth for the lid to tilt back fully without hitting a wall or monitor stand.

What is the correct order to seat the DDR4 3200 memory modules during a RAM upgrade?

Power off, remove the base cover, align the notch on each DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM with the slot key, press down firmly until both side clips click, then replace the cover before booting.

When should the 3-cell lithium ion battery be replaced?

Replace the 3-cell lithium ion battery once it no longer holds enough charge for your mobile workload or the system reports a significant capacity loss in Windows 11 Pro.
