Dell Inspiron 15 3520 laptop

This 15.6-inch touchscreen laptop runs Windows 11 Pro on a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It includes 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. The FHD anti-glare display supports touch input for direct interaction.

Upgrade from older dual-core ultraportables

The 10-core design and 32GB DDR4 memory replace systems limited to 4 or 8 threads and soldered RAM. The jump is worth it when you run multiple browser tabs, office suites and video calls at the same time. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard productivity without a discrete GPU.

Sustained productivity workloads

The carbon-black chassis measures 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inches and weighs 3.65 lbs. Base frequency sits at 1.3 GHz with turbo up to 4.4 GHz across the 10 cores. Thermal management keeps clocks stable during long document editing, spreadsheet calculation and video conferencing sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch chassis fit in a standard 15 inch laptop sleeve?

The body measures 14.11 by 9.27 by 0.83 inches so most 15 inch sleeves accommodate it with a little extra room.

What screw size secures the bottom cover for the 512GB PCIe SSD upgrade?

The factory uses small Phillips-head screws; the step people miss is removing every screw before prying the cover to avoid cracking the plastic clips.

Can the 32GB DDR4 memory be expanded later?

The board is populated to its 32GB maximum so no further RAM upgrade is possible; only the 512GB PCIe SSD can be swapped for a larger drive.
