Dell Inspiron 15 3530 64GB 2TB

This new Dell Inspiron 15 3530 laptop pairs a 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U processor with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen offers 1920 x 1080 resolution with anti-glare coating and narrow borders. It ships with Windows 11 Home and includes Wi-Fi 6, HDMI 1.4, USB-C and multiple USB-A ports for connectivity.

Suitable for multitasking office work not

The 10-core processor and large memory capacity suit professionals running virtual machines, large spreadsheets or many browser tabs simultaneously. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics rely on shared system memory, so this laptop is not for buyers who need discrete GPU performance for 3D rendering, modern gaming or hardware-accelerated video export. The 41 WHr battery and 1.4 kg weight may also limit all-day unplugged use for mobile workers.

64GB DDR4 memory capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 64GB DDR4 configuration, which is the maximum this platform supports and cannot be upgraded later. Buyers who anticipate needing more than 64GB of RAM for future workloads should look at a workstation-class system with expandable memory slots.

Questions about this item

How do I install a fresh Windows 11 image on the 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 drive and what step is often missed?

Boot from a Windows 11 USB installer, select the 2 TB NVMe SSD as the target, and after setup install the Dell IRST driver from the support site so the drive remains visible on every restart.

Which component will need replacement first and how is it serviced?

The integrated 41 WHr 3-cell battery is not user-removable; when runtime degrades you must book a Dell-authorised service visit to have the bottom case opened and the pack swapped.

What thermal limit appears first during a long compile or render on the 10-core i7-1355U?

The 15 W base power envelope causes the CPU to throttle from 5.0 GHz to lower clocks once the cooling solution saturates, so sustained multi-core speeds settle well below the maximum turbo frequency.
