Versatile 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series 2-in-1 is a new convertible notebook built around a 15.6-inch IPS Trulife LED-backlit touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It runs on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U processor at 1.6GHz paired with 8GB DDR4 2400MHz memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed. It suits students and mobile professionals who want pen and touch input in a single aluminium-silver chassis.

Connectivity And Expansion For Daily Work

The system provides three USB 3.1 ports, one USB Type-C port, one HDMI output, a combination audio jack and a media card reader. Wireless-AC 2x2 and Bluetooth 4.2 handle network and peripheral links while an integrated IR webcam enables facial recognition sign-in. The backlit keyboard helps in low light. There is no optical drive, so external media requires a USB adapter. The 3-cell 42WHr battery powers the unit away from a socket.

Sustained Performance Within Thermal Limits

Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the full-HD panel for everyday productivity, video playback and light creative tasks. Under continuous load the ultra-low-voltage processor and integrated graphics share a compact thermal envelope measuring 0.74 by 14.23 by 9.63 inches and weighing 4.98 lbs. Fan activity will rise during extended multi-core work, and surface temperatures increase accordingly. Buyers needing discrete GPU power or higher multi-thread throughput should consider other form factors.
