Target User

The Dell Inspiron 15 is a new 15.6 inch laptop built for students and office workers who need a touchscreen for direct input. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. The 8GB DDR4 memory and 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD handle daily multitasking and fast boot times. Integrated Intel UHD graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 60Hz display.

Limits

This configuration suits buyers who want a ready-to-use touchscreen notebook with a 1TB solid-state drive and a Pro operating system. It does not meet the needs of users who require discrete graphics for rendering or gaming, more than 8GB of system memory, additional USB ports beyond the single USB 2.0 and HDMI, or a larger battery than the 3-cell 41 WHr unit. Creative professionals needing colour-accurate screens should look elsewhere.

Deciding Spec

The 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen runs at 60Hz and is powered solely by Intel UHD integrated graphics. That combination defines whether the laptop fits your workflow: it is adequate for document editing, web browsing and video playback, but it cannot drive external high-refresh monitors or accelerate GPU-heavy applications. If your software demands a dedicated GPU or a higher refresh panel, this is not the right part.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 8 GB DDR4 version or look for a 16 GB option?

This unit ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory in a single SODIMM slot; adding a matching module later will give you dual-channel bandwidth.

How does the i5-1235U and its 4.4 GHz turbo behave in everyday work?

The 10-core processor with two performance cores reaches 4.4 GHz on burst loads, so office apps and web browsing stay responsive while the efficient cores handle background tasks.

What does the RTL8821CE and Bluetooth 5.0 combination actually deliver?

The RTL8821CE wireless card pairs with Bluetooth 5.0 for standard Wi-Fi and peripheral connectivity; wired networks need a USB adapter.
