Dell Inspiron 15 i5-1235U 32GB 1TB

The Dell Inspiron 15 is a new 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and a 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate use.

Suited to office work and study.

This configuration suits students and professionals who need a responsive touchscreen for productivity, web browsing and video calls. The integrated Intel UHD graphics handle everyday visual tasks but cannot drive modern 3D titles or GPU-accelerated creative workloads. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card should look at a different system.

32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory decides fit

The laptop ships with 32GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM installed, a capacity that covers heavy multitasking and large browser sessions without paging. Verify that any future upgrade modules match the DDR4 SO-DIMM form factor; other memory generations will not fit.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR4 configuration or a smaller memory option?

The 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM provides ample headroom for multitasking, virtual machines and large datasets; a smaller capacity would limit simultaneous workloads.

What does the 4.4 GHz turbo frequency deliver in everyday use?

The i5-1235U can boost two performance cores to 4.4 GHz for short bursts, speeding single-threaded tasks such as app launch and web browsing.

Does the PCIe NVMe SSD run at full PCIe 3.0 x4 speed in this laptop?

The 1 TB PCIe NVMe drive operates over a PCIe 3.0 x4 link, so sequential reads and writes reach the drive's rated limits.
