16-inch touchscreen laptop for professionals

The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 combines a 16.0 inch FHD+ anti-glare touch display with a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and the NVIDIA GeForce MX570 handles graphics duties. The silver chassis measures 14.05 by 9.92 by 0.72 inches and weighs 4.12 lbs.

User-replaceable parts are limited to the SSD

The memory is soldered to the motherboard, so the 32 GB configuration cannot be upgraded later. Storage uses a standard M.2 slot, allowing the 2 TB drive to be swapped for a larger module if required. Opening the base cover requires a Torx driver and careful prying; clips around the perimeter snap tightly. The battery connector sits under the trackpad cable, so disconnect that first to avoid damage.

Suits mobile workers who value screen height

The 16:10 aspect ratio and 250-nit panel help with document review and light creative tasks, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 keep connections stable on the move. Buyers who need user-upgradeable RAM, higher sustained graphics performance, or a brighter display for outdoor use should look at something else.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-1255U is running at its 4.7 GHz boost after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.7 GHz while a heavy single-thread load runs.

What accessories come in the box and which ports need separate cables?

The box includes the laptop and a power adapter; the 2 USB 3.2 Type-A, 1 USB 3.2 Type-C, 1 HDMI and combo audio jack require your own peripherals.

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR4-3200 / 2 TB NVMe configuration or a smaller one?

The 32 GB DDR4-3200 RAM and 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD are the maximum factory-fitted capacities, so this version avoids any later memory or storage upgrades.
