16-inch Touch Laptop for Business

The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is a new 16.0 inch laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and a 4.7 GHz maximum turbo speed. The anti-glare touch display has a 1920 x 1200 resolution and ComfortView support. A discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX570 GPU handles graphics duties.

Suits Mobile Professionals; Not for Heavy GPU Work

This configuration suits professionals who need 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for multitasking and fast storage. The 16:10 touchscreen and Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.2 support modern workflows. Buyers who need more than 32 GB of RAM or a higher-performance graphics card for intensive rendering or gaming should consider other options.

Discrete MX570 Graphics Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the NVIDIA GeForce MX570 GPU. It provides entry-level discrete acceleration for light creative tasks and external displays via HDMI. If your workload demands significantly higher graphics compute, this GPU will be the limiting factor. The system also includes two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and one USB 3.2 Type-C port for peripherals.

Questions about this item

Does the 16.0 inch chassis use standard VESA mounting holes for a monitor arm?

This laptop is a portable clamshell weighing 4.12 lbs and measuring 14.05x 9.92x 0.72 in; it has no VESA mount and is designed for desk or lap use.

What is the correct way to reinstall Windows 11 Pro on the 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, and which step is often missed?

Boot from a Windows 11 Pro USB installer, select the 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD as the target, and ensure the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 driver loads so the wireless adapter works after setup.

When will the 32 GB DDR4-3200 memory need to be upgraded, and what is the maximum supported capacity?

The system ships with 32 GB DDR4-3200 RAM installed; the platform supports up to 64 GB, so an upgrade is only required if your workload exceeds the current capacity.
