The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is a 16.0 inch touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and a 4.7 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It comes with 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce MX570 GPU. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

Suits mobile professionals needing touch input

This configuration fits users who want a 16:10 aspect ratio touch display for annotation or presentation work and require 64 GB of RAM for heavy multitasking or virtual machines. Buyers who need a higher refresh rate panel, dedicated high-end graphics for 3D rendering, or a lighter chassis for frequent carry should consider other form factors.

2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD decides storage capacity

The single specification that determines whether this unit meets a requirement is the 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive. It sets the total high-speed storage available for the operating system, applications and active project files without relying on external drives.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 so I can check if it fits my bag or sleeve?

The chassis measures 14.05 x 9.92 x 0.72 inches and weighs 4.12 lbs, making it a slim 16.0 inch laptop that fits most 16-inch sleeves.

How do I install the NVIDIA GeForce MX570 drivers after a clean Windows 11 Pro install, and what step is often missed?

Install the Intel chipset driver first, then the NVIDIA driver from Dell support; skipping the chipset driver leaves the MX570 hidden in Device Manager.

What type and speed of RAM does this laptop use if I ever need to replace a module?

It uses 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory in a dual-channel configuration; any replacement must be DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM to match the installed speed.
