Product Identity

The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is a 16-inch laptop designed for students and home-office users. It ships new with Windows 11 Home, an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, 16GB LPDDR4x memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The silver chassis weighs 4.01 lbs and measures 0.72" thin, making it a portable all-in-one system rather than a desktop tower.

Deciding Specification

The integrated AMD Radeon graphics share system memory and target 60Hz productivity workloads. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance for modern gaming or GPU-accelerated rendering should look elsewhere. The 16GB LPDDR4x is soldered and cannot be upgraded, so memory capacity is fixed at purchase.

Installation and Pitfalls

No assembly is required; the laptop is ready to use after the initial Windows setup. The 54 Wh battery delivers up to 8 hours of mixed use, but actual runtime drops under sustained load. The single HDMI 1.4 port limits external displays to 1080p at 60Hz, and the lack of an Ethernet jack means wired networking needs a USB adapter.
