DELL Inspiron 1720 1721 17" LCD Front Trim Bezel HN289 Pink

Genuine Dell OEM front bezel for Inspiron 1720

This is a genuine Dell OEM replacement part manufactured for the Inspiron 1720 and 1721 17-inch laptops. It serves as the front trim surrounding the LCD panel and arrives in Flamingo Pink to match the original chassis colour. The bezel includes a dedicated camera port for the integrated webcam module. Buyers who need a different colour or a bezel without the camera cut-out should verify their specific model requirements before ordering.

Behaviour under daily handling

The plastic trim is designed to withstand normal opening and closing cycles without cracking at the hinge mounts. Sustained pressure on the latch area during transport does not cause permanent deformation when the part is correctly seated. Users who frequently carry the laptop in tight bags may notice scuff marks on the pink finish over time, but structural integrity remains intact. The camera port aperture retains its shape and does not widen with repeated webcam adjustments.

Straightforward snap-in installation

Installation consists of aligning the bezel with the LCD panel edges and pressing until the retention clips engage; no tools are required beyond a plastic pry tool for removing the old trim. The most common issue is failing to route the webcam cable through the port before snapping the bezel shut, which forces a redo. Another frequent error is ordering the wrong shade of pink, so confirm the Flamingo Pink match against the rear lid before fitting.
