Dell Inspiron 3511 laptop for everyday work

This 15.6 inch laptop runs Windows 11 Home on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.70 GHz. It ships with 12GB of memory and a 1TB SSD for the operating system and files. The non-touch FHD display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution suited to office tasks and media viewing.

Capacity and headroom for typical loads

The 12GB memory handles multiple browser tabs, document editing and video calls without paging. The 1TB SSD stores a large local library of documents, photos and applications with room to spare. Integrated graphics and the HDMI 1.4 output limit 3D rendering, heavy video editing or gaming at higher settings.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The slim chassis measures between 0.68 and 0.74 inches thick and weighs 1.73 kg, so fan noise stays low during light productivity work. ExpressCharge replenishes the battery to 80 percent in 60 minutes, reducing time tethered to the power jack. Rubber feet and hinge bumpers keep the base stable on hard surfaces during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the Inspiron 3511’s HDMI 1.4 port drive my older 1080p monitor at 60 Hz?

Yes — the HDMI 1.4 output supports 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, matching your monitor’s native resolution and refresh rate.

How can I confirm the i7-1165G7 is hitting its 4.7 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab and watch the CPU clock speed while running a heavy single-thread load; it should spike to 4.70 GHz.

Does the box include a USB-C charger or do I need to buy one separately?

The laptop ships with its barrel-type power adapter; there is no USB-C charger in the box, so you would need to purchase one separately if you want USB-C charging.
