Questions about this item

How long will the soldered 8 GB DDR4 memory last before an upgrade is needed?

The 8 GB DDR4 is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded; only the M.2 256 GB SSD can be replaced later.

What limits performance first during a long compile or render on the i5-8350U?

The quad-core 1.70 GHz processor with 6 MB cache hits its thermal ceiling before the Intel UHD Graphics 620 becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the laptop runs all day on the 256 GB SSD?

Under sustained load the fan spins up to cool the 1.70 GHz quad-core CPU; surface temperatures stay within ultrabook norms and noise is typical for a 14.0" thin-border design.
