Built for office multitasking

The Dell Inspiron 3520 pairs an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe solid-state drive. A 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen running at 60Hz provides a 1920 x 1080 workspace for documents, web apps and light creative tasks. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed for immediate productivity.

Sustained workload behaviour

The four-core processor reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz and a base speed of 3.40 GHz, allowing it to handle extended spreadsheet calculations, video calls and browser sessions without the short bursts typical of lighter ultraportables. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics manages the display and basic media decode without a discrete GPU drawing extra power. The 512GB NVMe drive keeps application launches and file saves responsive throughout the day.

Thermals, noise and power

A 65 watt three-cell lithium-ion battery supplies mobile power while the chassis measures 14.11 by 9.27 by .83 inches and weighs 3.65 pounds. Under typical office loads the cooling system remains quiet enough for open-plan environments and surface temperatures stay comfortable for lap use. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, one HDMI port, one USB 2.0 port and two USB 3.2 ports for peripherals and external displays.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i5-1155G7 get when the 65-watt adapter powers it all day?

The 65-watt three-cell battery and 65-watt charger indicate typical ultrabook thermals; fan noise stays low during office work and rises only under sustained multi-core load.

Which cables and peripherals must I already own to use the 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 touchscreen and the 512GB NVMe storage?

The laptop includes HDMI, one USB-A 2.0 and two USB-A 3.2 ports, so existing USB-A drives, mice and HDMI monitors work immediately; no special cables are required.

Will my older USB-A 2.0 keyboard and 1080p monitor work with the USB-A 3.2 and HDMI ports on this 3520?

Yes — both USB-A 3.2 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and the HDMI output drives a 1080p display at 60 Hz without adapters.
