Ready for office work

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for daily business tasks. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Intel Core i5 11th Gen processor reaching 4.2 GHz. The 16GB DDR4 memory and 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD provide a responsive platform for documents, web apps and video calls.

Touchscreen and connectivity

The Full HD 1920 x 1080 touchscreen adds direct interaction for presentations or quick annotations. A 60Hz refresh rate keeps motion smooth for typical office use. Ports include one HDMI output, one USB-A 2.0 and two USB-A 3.2 connectors, plus Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth for wireless peripherals.

Capacity and limits

The 512GB SSD holds the operating system, common productivity suites and a large working file set with room to spare. 16GB RAM handles many browser tabs and office programs simultaneously. Intel UHD Graphics covers external displays and video playback but is not suited for 3D rendering, modern gaming or heavy GPU compute workloads.

Questions about this item

Will the 512GB NVMe SSD or the 16GB DDR4 memory need replacing first?

The 512GB NVMe SSD has a finite write endurance, so it will likely need replacement before the 16GB DDR4 memory, which has no wear-out mechanism under normal use.

Does the 60Hz touchscreen or the 65-watt power limit throttle the i5-1155G7 first during long sessions?

The 65-watt power adapter and cooling capacity will limit sustained CPU performance before the 60Hz display refresh rate becomes a bottleneck for general workloads.

How loud do the fans get and how hot does the chassis feel when the 65-watt adapter is maxed out all day?

Under continuous load the fans spin up to move heat from the i5-1155G7, raising surface temperatures around the keyboard deck while drawing up to 65 watts from the adapter.
