15.6-inch Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by a 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1024GB SSD. Windows 11 S comes pre-installed. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Upgrade from older dual-core or quad-core systems

Moving from a dual-core or quad-core machine to this 10-core processor brings a clear jump in multi-threaded throughput. The 1.3 GHz base and 4.4 GHz turbo clocks accelerate background workloads and light creative tasks. Buyers who need discrete graphics for modern gaming or heavy rendering should look elsewhere.

Standard clamshell chassis

The non-backlit keyboard and sealed 3-cell battery mean internal access is limited. Memory and storage are not designed for owner upgrades. Installation is essentially unboxing, connecting the 65 W adapter and completing the Windows 11 S setup. Driver updates via Windows Update normally finish the process.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Dell Inspiron 3520 so I can check bag fit?

The laptop measures 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inches and weighs 3.65 lbs, so any sleeve or backpack compartment must accommodate at least those external measurements.

Does the 15.6-inch touchscreen require any driver setup after Windows 11 S first boot?

Windows 11 S installs the Intel UHD Graphics and touchscreen drivers automatically during the out-of-box experience; no manual download is needed unless a later update resets the digitizer calibration.

Is the 3-cell lithium-ion battery user-replaceable when capacity drops?

The battery is internal and not designed for tool-free removal; replacing it requires opening the bottom case and disconnecting the cable, so most owners have a technician perform the swap.
