Dell Inspiron 3520 TouchScreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It suits students and office workers who want a responsive display for everyday productivity and media playback. The 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor reaches 4.40GHz turbo frequency with 12MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles basic visual tasks without a discrete GPU.

10-Core i5-1235U Processor Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor with a 4.40GHz turbo frequency. This CPU handles web browsing, document editing and video streaming smoothly. Buyers who need sustained heavy multi-threaded workloads or discrete graphics acceleration should consider other options. The integrated graphics and 16GB DDR4 memory define the performance ceiling for this chassis.

1TB SSD and 16GB DDR4 Capacity

The 1TB SSD provides ample space for the operating system, applications and a large personal file library. The 16GB DDR4 memory allows comfortable multitasking with dozens of browser tabs and office applications open simultaneously. Storage headroom runs out only with very large media libraries or virtual machine images. Memory headroom is reached when running memory-intensive creative suites or heavy virtualisation workloads.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.40 GHz turbo frequency behave when the laptop is under sustained load?

The 10-core i5-1235U can reach 4.40 GHz on short bursts; during prolonged workloads it settles at lower clocks to stay within its thermal envelope.

What does the USB 3.2 label on the two ports actually cap at in real transfers?

The two USB 3.2 ports run at up to 10 Gbps, so large file copies hit roughly 1 GB/s with a compatible drive.

Will a standard 2.5-inch drive fit inside the chassis alongside the existing 1 TB SSD?

The chassis only accommodates the installed M.2 SSD; there is no 2.5-inch bay or caddy for an additional drive.
