Inspiron 3520 TouchScreen Laptop

This new Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor with a 4.40GHz turbo frequency and 12MB L3 cache. The system includes 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 display.

Suited for Touch and Multitasking

The touchscreen and 32GB DDR4 memory suit users who want direct screen interaction and smooth multitasking across office applications. The 10-core processor handles background tasks and video calls without slowing the foreground window. Buyers who need a discrete graphics processor for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Those requiring more than three USB ports or a dedicated video-output standard beyond HDMI should also consider other models.

12th Gen Core i5-1235U Processor

The 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor is the single specification that defines this laptop's performance ceiling. Its 4.40GHz turbo frequency and 12MB L3 cache determine how quickly the system completes burst workloads such as spreadsheet calculation or code compilation. If that processing headroom matches the buyer's workload, the 32GB DDR4 memory and 1TB SSD will keep pace; if the workload demands sustained multi-core throughput or discrete graphics acceleration, this processor will be the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1TB SSD in the Inspiron 3520 and what step do people miss?

The 1TB SSD is already installed from the factory. No drive installation is required. The step people miss is confirming the drive appears in BIOS before first boot.

What maintenance will the DDR4 memory need later?

The 32GB DDR4 is soldered and not user-replaceable. No memory maintenance is possible. Keep vents clear so the integrated graphics stay cool under load.

What limit appears first on the i5-1235U during sustained use?

The 10-core processor hits its 4.40GHz turbo ceiling and thermal throttling reduces clocks. The integrated UHD graphics share system memory, so long renders slow first.
