Inspiron 3520 15 touchscreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed for immediate use.

Ports and wireless connectivity

Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one USB 2.0 Type-A port handle peripherals and storage. An HDMI 1.4b output connects external displays. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth provide wireless networking. A multi-format SD card reader and headphone combo jack complete the physical interface set.

Integrated graphics and display limits

Intel UHD Graphics handles visual output on the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen. The integrated GPU shares system memory and suits office work, streaming and light content consumption. Demanding 3D titles or heavy GPU compute workloads will exceed its practical capability. The 15.6 inch panel offers touch input but no stylus support is mentioned.

Questions about this item

Is the 16 GB DDR4 memory soldered or can I upgrade it later?

The 16 GB DDR4 is installed in a single slot, leaving one slot free for a future upgrade.

Does the Core i5-1235U throttle at its 4.4 GHz turbo during long workloads?

Sustained loads will hit the 15 W base power limit first, so clocks settle closer to the 3.30 GHz base frequency.

How loud do the fans get when the Intel UHD Graphics runs all day?

The thin 0.83-inch chassis relies on a single fan; expect audible but not intrusive airflow under continuous use.
