15.6 inch FHD touchscreen laptop for mobile

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 combines a 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen with an Intel Core i7-1255U 10-core processor. 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD provide capacity for multitasking and fast storage. Windows 11 Pro and Office 2021 are pre-installed for immediate productivity.

Connectivity and ports for desk or travel use

Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port and an HDMI output handle peripherals and external displays. An SD card reader and a headphone/microphone combo jack add media flexibility. Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support wireless networking without extra adapters.

Suits users who need touch input and Office ready

Buyers wanting a backlit keyboard or a fingerprint reader should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics limit the machine to light creative work and casual gaming. Anyone needing discrete graphics performance or a lighter chassis will need a different configuration.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1.2 GHz base clock hold before the i7-1255U throttles during a sustained compile?

The 10-core i7-1255U runs at a 1.2 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.7 GHz turbo; sustained loads will drop toward the base clock once thermal limits are reached.

What fan noise and surface temperatures should I expect after the 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop runs a full workday?

Integrated Iris Xe graphics and the 10-core CPU share the same cooling; expect audible fan spin and warm palm-rest areas during continuous use.

Which peripherals must I already own to connect external displays and wired networks to the 3520?

The chassis provides one HDMI port and two USB 3.2 Type-A ports; you will need an HDMI cable and a USB-to-Ethernet adapter for wired networking.
