Dell Inspiron 3520 15 Touch Laptop

This Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a new Windows 11 Pro laptop built around a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen provides direct input for creative tasks and navigation. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handles everyday visual workloads.

Suits mobile professionals

The touchscreen and numeric keypad support data entry and sketching on the move. Buyers who want a backlit keyboard or fingerprint reader should look elsewhere, as this unit lacks both. Gamers or editors requiring discrete GPU power will not find it here.

15.6-inch FHD touchscreen defines the experience

The 1920 x 1080 touch panel is the primary interface for this device, enabling pen and finger interaction that a non-touch display cannot offer. If touch capability is not required, a standard non-touch model may be more suitable.

Questions about this item

Does the 1TB PCIe SSD use a standard M.2 slot so I can swap it later?

The 1TB PCIe SSD sits in an M.2 slot; removing the base cover gives access for a larger drive.

What stops the Intel Core i7-1255U from holding its 4.7 GHz turbo during a long render?

The 15 W power envelope and the thin cooling assembly limit sustained clocks well below the peak turbo frequency.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the 14.11 x 9.27 x .83 inch chassis feel after hours of use?

Under continuous load the single fan spins up to an audible level and the keyboard deck becomes warm to the touch.
