Ready-to-work 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 arrives with Windows 11 Home and a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U processor that reaches 4.7 GHz turbo. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe solid-state drive are already installed. The 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen resolves at 1920 x 1080 for direct interaction.

Sustained load on the integrated Iris Xe graphics

The 10-core processor maintains a 1.2 GHz base frequency while the integrated Iris Xe graphics share system memory. Under continuous multi-threaded work the chassis at 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inches and 3.65 pounds dissipates heat without a discrete GPU. Thermal headroom suits office suites, web apps and light creative tasks rather than extended 3D rendering.

Black chassis with numeric keypad and mixed USB

Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, HDMI and a multi-format SD card reader handle peripherals and external displays. A headphone/microphone combo jack and 720p webcam support calls. The backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader are absent, so users who type in low light or want biometric login should note the omissions.

Questions about this item

How hot or loud does the Core i7-1255U get when the laptop runs all day?

The 10-core processor has a base frequency of 1.2 GHz and a max turbo of 4.7 GHz; under sustained load the integrated Iris Xe graphics and CPU share the same thermal solution, so fan noise and surface temperature rise with workload but no specific acoustic or thermal figures are published.

What must I already own to use the 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen and all ports on this 3520?

The laptop ships with Windows 11 Home, 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD installed; you only need a power outlet for the included adapter and any USB 3.2 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI or SD card peripherals you want to connect.

Will my older USB 2.0 accessories work alongside the newer USB 3.2 Type-A ports on this machine?

Yes — the chassis provides one USB 2.0 Type-A port and two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, so legacy mice, keyboards or drives plug directly into the USB 2.0 port while newer devices use the faster ports without adapters.
