Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop for everyday productivity

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth provide wireless connectivity for office and home users.

32GB DDR4 memory and 512GB PCIe SSD capacity

The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. This combination handles multitasking across browser tabs, office suites and video calls with comfortable headroom. Large media libraries or multiple virtual machines will eventually fill the drive, requiring external storage or cloud offload for continued growth.

Thermals acoustics and power in normal use

The chassis measures 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inches and weighs 3.65 pounds. In typical office workloads the cooling system keeps surface temperatures moderate and fan noise low. The 10-core processor scales from a 1.2 GHz base to a 4.7 GHz turbo, so power draw rises only during sustained heavy compute tasks.

Questions about this item

Will the 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U and 32GB DDR4 memory keep up with my existing USB 2.0 Type-A peripherals?

Yes, the laptop includes one USB 2.0 Type-A port alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, so older peripherals connect directly without adapters.

How can I verify the 15.6" FHD 1920 x 1080 display and Intel Iris Xe Graphics are performing correctly after setup?

Open Windows Display settings to confirm 1920 x 1080 resolution is active, then run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to verify Intel Iris Xe Graphics is detected and drivers are current.

What ships in the box and what must I purchase separately for the 512GB PCIe SSD configuration?

The box contains the laptop, power adapter, and documentation; the 512GB PCIe SSD and 32GB DDR4 memory are already installed, so no storage or memory upgrades are required.
