Touchscreen FHD+ laptop for business

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop with a 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display. It runs on an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor reaching 4.2 GHz with 8MB cache. The system includes 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 60Hz WVA panel.

Best for office work and light mobility

This configuration suits professionals who need a responsive touchscreen for presentations or direct input during meetings. The 16GB DDR4 memory handles multitasking across business applications. Buyers who want more storage capacity or discrete graphics performance for creative workloads should consider other options. The single USB 2.0 port limits peripheral connectivity for users with multiple accessories.

256GB PCIe NVMe SSD decides fit

The 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD determines whether this laptop meets your storage requirements. It provides fast boot and application load times for the operating system and core programs. Users with large local media libraries, extensive project files or multiple virtual machines will need external or cloud storage to supplement the internal drive.

Questions about this item

What practical bandwidth limit does the 802.11ac Wi-Fi interface impose on this laptop?

The 802.11ac Wi-Fi supports typical real-world throughput up to several hundred megabits per second, sufficient for HD streaming and large file transfers on compatible routers.

What physical dimensions and weight should I allow for when choosing a sleeve or bag for the Inspiron 3520?

The chassis measures 14 IN x 9 IN x 1 IN and weighs 4lb, so a 15.6-inch laptop sleeve with at least 1-inch depth will accommodate it.

How is the 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD installed, and what step do people often miss?

The drive occupies the single M.2 slot; after seating it at an angle and securing the screw, many forget to initialise the disk in Windows Disk Management before it appears in File Explorer.
