Inspiron 3520 with 8TB PCIe SSD

This Inspiron 3520 laptop combines an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and an 8TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 15.6 inch IPS display runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle visual output. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suits office work and media.

The configuration serves well for business applications, multitasking, and media playback on the 120Hz panel. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for 3D rendering or modern gaming titles should look elsewhere. The single USB 2.0 port alongside HDMI and an SD card reader covers basic peripheral connection. Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi provide wireless connectivity.

8TB PCIe NVMe SSD decides storage fit

The 8TB PCIe NVMe solid state drive is the specification that determines whether this unit meets a requirement for high-capacity, fast internal storage. No mechanical hard drive is present. The 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory and 41 WHr battery are fixed alongside the processor and display. Professional upgrades were performed by Velztorm before sale.

Questions about this item

How do I install extra memory in the Inspiron 3520, and which step is often missed?

Remove the base screws, lift the cover, insert the DDR4 SO-DIMM at an angle until the clips click, then replace the cover; the step often missed is pressing firmly until both side clips lock.

What maintenance or replacement will the 41 WHr battery need later?

The 3-cell 41 WHr battery will eventually hold less charge; plan to replace it when runtime drops below your needs, using a compatible Dell 3-cell pack.

At what point does the 65 W power supply become the limit during sustained loads?

When the Core i5-1135G7 and Iris Xe graphics draw combined power near 65 W, the adapter cannot supply more, so the system throttles clock speeds to stay within that envelope.
