Built for heavy multitasking

The Dell Inspiron 3520 pairs an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro runs on a 15.6 inch touchscreen showing 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60Hz. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle the display output.

Suits office workers who keep dozens of apps

The 64GB capacity removes memory pressure for heavy browser tab counts, virtual machines or big spreadsheets. Buyers who only run a few lightweight programs at once will not use this much RAM. The integrated graphics and 60Hz panel are not built for gaming or colour-critical creative work.

The deciding spec is 64GB of DDR4 SODIMM

This amount of memory is the primary reason to choose this configuration over lower-capacity versions. It supports the most demanding multitasking scenarios without paging to the 2TB NVMe SSD. If your typical workload fits comfortably in less memory, the extra capacity brings no visible benefit.

Questions about this item

Can the 64GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The laptop ships with 64GB DDR4 SODIMM installed; the specification lists no spare slots, so further memory expansion is not possible.

What limits sustained performance first on the Core i5-1135G7?

The 65W power supply and 41WHr battery cap continuous turbo at 4.2GHz, so the thermal and power envelope is the first bottleneck under load.

How loud and hot does the 15.6" touchscreen model get during all-day use?

Integrated Iris Xe graphics and the 60Hz WVA panel keep heat modest; the 65W adapter and 3-cell battery mean fan noise stays low during typical office workloads.
